Finding Purpose

A Summer Hiatus, An Awakened Heart

Some of you may look at this post popping into your feed with varying degrees of confusion or even lack of recognition. And that’s okay. Whereas you may have been faithfully chugging out a post a day these past few months, I’ve been faithfully… well, not.

I guess it got to the point where I was just writing what I thought my readers wanted to hear; I was just in it for the likes, the views. For some, that may be fine and dandy, but for me? It felt like I was slowly killing all I want my blog to stand for, because I lost the vision and was working off a dying ember. So, if only one person reads this, that’s okay too.

Because I know God will send each post to the exact person who needs it.

Not that this post or even that my blog is something super special by any means–I’m just one young woman in our ever-growing world. My words aren’t overly-captivating or inspiring, my blog holds no extra appeal than the next. Many of you are far superior writers than my mere twenty years can compare. The only magic to be found here isn’t magic at all.

It’s faith.

Well, there’s a little Disney too.

To those of you who were loyal readers prior to this summer, should you be reading this now, I cannot thank you enough for your encouragement and patience. To those of you who are brand new, I hope you can also employ patience as I ease my way back into this amazing community of bloggers. I’ve met some pretty fantastic people in these past few weeks, and I have a feeling I’ll be writing more on them soon. Your girl’s no longer a community college student–oh no, I’ve hit the big leagues at university!

But let’s not spoil it all too quickly now. Until next time,

You are beautiful and you are loved โค๏ธŽ

P.s. To Loved by the King of kings, this one’s for you ๐Ÿ˜˜ I can’t say that Flynn Rider has come to sweep me from the top of my tower just yet haha, but my time there is up. Blessings sweet friend for prompting my return.

  1. Oh my gosh!!! Iโ€™m so very happy that youโ€™re back to the world of blogging, Jordan โค I found myself doing the same thing during different months (posting for others and not for myself), and I agree that it is draining. Itโ€™s fun to share what people want to read, but when thatโ€™s all it is, weโ€™re blogging for the wrong reason ๐Ÿ™‚ I canโ€™t wait to see what youโ€™ll write next, girlie!

    1. Thank you so much Maggie!! You have no idea how integral your friendship was in bringing me back โคโค I’m just very grateful to have realized what was happening when I did, so that I could wisely take that time off. Who knows, but with the Lord on my side, it could be anything! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š
